Kakuma Refugee Camp gets top technology: – Training Welders with Virtual Reality Simulators
The Toolkit Foundation and GIZ are again making waves, and this time it’s with a groundbreaking project that’s set to transform the lives of Refugees and Host Community Youth.
Today, in Kakuma Refugee Camp, history is being made as we unveil our trailblazing MIG ( Metal Inert Gas) Welding using a Virtual Reality technology.
Our commitment to skilling the youth and connecting them to life-changing opportunities has led us to embrace the power of VR technology.
Why first get on board with VR Technology?
1. It’s not just about welding; it’s about empowering the next generation with skills that light up their paths. With VR technology, we’re not only saving precious resources required to train youth from scratch, but we’re also creating a safer learning environment. Trainees become safety conscious as they navigate the virtual realm, reducing accidents and instilling a culture of well-being while grooming them for the actual welding in the workshop.
