TOOLKIT MAKES HISTORY MONDAY 5 FEBRUARY 2024 : STATEMENT ON SKILLS IN ADVANCED WELDING AT RADISSON BLU PRESIDED BY PRESIDENT RUTO AND POLISH PRESIDENT DUDA

The Polish Virtual Reality (VR) Technology training advanced welding was started in Kenya in 2021 by Polish Innovation company DigInVision and Kenyan TVET institution, The Toolkit for Skills and Innovation.

Both have trained 500 Kenyan youth as internationally certified welders to EU Standards.

18 Kenyan welding instructors have been internationally upskilled by Toolkit for Skills and Innovation and Kenya School of TVET.

To support President Ruto’s agenda on Green manufacturing and low-cost housing, VR Technology will be rolled to 15 public and private TVETs in Kenya to train 100 instructors & 10,000 youth as internationally certified welders in 3 years.

This initiative will prepare Kenya for investment in green manufacturing without importing foreign skilled welders and make Kenya’s youth welders globally competitive.
