TOT Training in Renewable Energy: A Gateway to New Horizons
We are elated to share the remarkable progress of Toolkit Foundation’s recent initiatives in Kakuma refugee camp, Turkana County! In July, we conducted an intensive training session in #RenewableEnergy, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of the youth in the region.
Through this transformative TOT training in Renewable Energy, 12 promising individuals, including 4 young women, have emerged as the future torchbearers in promoting green and sustainable energy practices. These passionate trainees now possess invaluable knowledge and skills that will enable them to lead the charge in driving positive change. Together, we firmly believe that upskilling these 12 champions will catalyze a wave of progress and support the successful rollout of our ambitious new Training project in Green and Renewable Energy.
We are grateful for the collaboration with #ResilienceActionInternational, #Okapi, and #UNHCR, which has been instrumental in making our latest training sessions possible.
The foundation for this incredible journey was laid back in 2022 when we trained 158 refugees, with a particular focus on empowering 147 young women in the Kakuma camp. Witnessing their growth and success fills our hearts with immense joy! It is truly inspiring to see these young women taking the lead and actively engaging with Solar sales shops, making a significant difference by connecting with clients and contributing to home installations and school solar maintenance. We are incredibly proud to have played a part in connecting them to these wonderful opportunities.
